Exam Description & Important Information
SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment Examination 2026
SSC has officially released the Tier-II Admit Card for the Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment Examination 2026. The Tier-II exam is scheduled for 07 April 2026. Only candidates who qualified in the Tier-I exam (held 03–06 December 2025) and were declared eligible in the result announced on 06 March 2026 are permitted to appear in Tier-II.
Candidates must download their admit card from the official SSC portal by logging in with their Registration Number and Password. The admit card must be printed and carried to the exam hall along with a valid government-issued photo ID. Entry without a valid admit card will be strictly denied.
Total Vacancies: 1731 Posts across Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical branches in departments such as CPWD, BRO, MES, CWC, Farrakka Barrage, NTRO, Brahmaputra Board, and Andaman Lakshadweep Harbour Works.
Candidates are advised to check all details on the admit card carefully — name spelling, roll number, exam centre address, and photograph. Any discrepancy should be immediately reported to SSC helpdesk before the exam date.
Note: Tier-II is a descriptive (written) paper. After Tier-II, shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification, followed by final Merit List preparation.

Steps to Download Admit Card
- Step 1: Open your browser and go to the official SSC website — ssc.gov.in
- Step 2: Click on "Login / Register" on the homepage
- Step 3: Enter your Registration Number and Password
- Step 4: Enter the Captcha code displayed on the screen
- Step 5: Click the "Login" button to access your dashboard
- Step 6: Go to the "Application Status / Admit Card" section
- Step 7: Click on "SSC JE Tier-II Admit Card 2026"
- Step 8: Your admit card will open on the screen
- Step 9: Download the PDF and take a colour printout for exam day use
