Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has officially declared the Maharashtra Board HSC Class 12th Result 2026 on 02 May 2026 at 1:00 PM.
Students who appeared in the annual board examination conducted from 10 February 2026 to 11 March 2026 can now check their result online at the official website mahahsscboard.in.
The result can be accessed by entering the Examination Roll Number and Mother's First Name on the result portal.
The HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate) examination is one of the most important board examinations in Maharashtra, conducted annually by MSBSHSE.
Lakhs of students from Science, Commerce, and Arts streams across all divisions including Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati, Kolhapur, Latur, and Konkan appear in this examination every year.
The result declared today will determine the academic future of all these students for higher education admissions in colleges and universities.
Passing Criteria:
Students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject including both theory and practical components separately to be declared pass.
Students who fail in one or two subjects are eligible to appear in the Supplementary (Compartment) Examination conducted by MSBSHSE later.
Students can also apply for re-checking or scrutiny of answer sheets if they are not satisfied with their marks.

The official marksheet contains the student's Roll Number, Name, Mother's Name, School Name, Subject-wise Marks (Theory and Practical separately), Total Marks obtained, Percentage, Division (Distinction/First/Second/Pass), and Pass or Fail status.
After Result:
Students who have passed the HSC examination can apply for higher education in degree colleges, professional courses like Engineering, Medical, Law, Commerce, and Arts programs.
The result is also required for admission processes in DTE Maharashtra, CAP Round admissions, and various central and state university entrance examinations.
Students are advised to keep their original marksheet and passing certificate safely as it is required for college admissions, scholarship applications, and government job applications.
